Reasons to Use Plexiglass for Protective Screens

Naturally UV Resistant

It does NOT yellow and absorbs much of the UV spectrum.

Acrylic or Perspex sheet is the same material as Plexiglass acrylic plastic sheet.

Cost Savings

Cost-conscious business owners or consumers will be happy to know, plexiglass sheeting is an economically conservative alternative to using glass.

Safety and Strength

Plexiglass sheeting is unique in that while it is extremely difficult to shatter, it can be broken, however, it doesn’t break into a thousand tiny, dangerous shards making it perfect for protective screens.

Plexiglass screens have saved thousands of lives and saved thousands of workers time off due to injury.

Light Transmission

Allows for more than 90% of light to pass through, making it more transparent than glass.

Extremely useful in industrial areas where large machinery is operating with people in the work area as it is used widely for machinery guarding in just about every industry you can think of.

Protection of Both Staff and Customers

Plexiglass screens are critical in the protection of both staff and customers to reduce the possibility of cross contamination and protect some of our front line emergency services workers.

Can also be used in the home for pet access, service areas, children’s playhouse windows as it is much safer than glass.

Widely used in the marine industry for boat screens as Plexiglass screens are incredibly tough.
